These Terms govern your use of the RollEvent app (the “App”), operated by Alvaro Ferrer (Conscious Labs) (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the App you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old years old and able to form a binding contract. By using the App you confirm you meet these requirements.

2. The service

RollEvent is a shared “disposable camera” experience. You create or join an event (“roll”), take photos during the event window, and all members’ photos are revealed to that event’s members 24 hours after the event ends. Before that, you only see your own photos; the event host can review and hide photos during that window. Features may change or be discontinued.

3. Your account

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure. You may delete your account at any time in the App (see Section 7).

4. Purchases

Creating a roll requires a one-time in-app purchase (“consumable”). Purchases are sold and processed by Apple or Google through their stores (via RevenueCat); we do not handle your payment details. Prices are shown before purchase and may vary by region and over time. All sales are final except where required by law or by the applicable app store’s policies — refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their terms. A purchased roll delivers the entitlements described at the time of purchase (duration, member and photo limits for the chosen tier).

5. Your content and licence

You retain ownership of the photos you take. To operate the App, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, and display your content to the members of the event you contributed it to, for the purpose of providing the service. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for backups pending rolling deletion and content we must retain for legal or safety reasons.

You represent that you have the rights and any necessary consents (including from people appearing in photos) to upload and share your content.

Shared rolls. A roll is a shared artifact. Photos you contribute become visible to that event’s members after the reveal window.

6. Acceptable use

You must not use the App to upload, share, or create content that is illegal, infringing, sexually exploitative (especially involving minors), harassing, hateful, violent, or otherwise objectionable, or to violate others’ privacy or rights. We operate a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive users. You also must not attempt to break, probe, or circumvent the App’s security, access data that is not yours, or misuse the service.

7. Reporting, moderation, suspension and deletion

Any member can report a photo from within the App. We may review reported and other content and, at our discretion and without prior notice, remove content, suspend, or permanently ban users who violate these Terms. We aim to act on reports of objectionable content promptly. Hosts can also hide photos in events they host.

You may delete your account in the App at any time. Deletion is permanent and irreversible. It removes your account, profile, and every photo you have taken across all rolls, including shared rolls hosted by others. If you host a roll, deleting your account deletes that entire event and all its photos for every participant. We may also terminate or suspend access for breach of these Terms.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that content will be preserved. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of photos you wish to retain.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, content, or profits. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or EUR 50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those, the limitations apply to the extent permitted.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of content you submit or your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.

11. App stores

This is an agreement between you and Alvaro Ferrer, not with Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the App or its content. To the extent the App is obtained via the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that Apple has no obligation to provide support or handle warranty claims, and that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them. You agree you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and are not on any U.S. restricted-parties list. You will comply with applicable third-party terms (e.g. carrier and app store terms).

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain/Europe, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in the App or by email and the “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance; if you do not agree, stop using the App and delete your account.
